Their story
Bees Knees Spicy Honey was born in Brooklyn in 2014, when friends Morgen Newman, Casey Elsass, and Ted Barbeau launched their food company, first called MixedMade, in about a month. The company is now known as Bushwick Kitchen.
The spicy honey became its flagship product and helped kick off the wider taste for sweet and hot flavors on pizza, chicken, and cheese plates.
How it's made
The honey is a blend of wildflower honeys from the United States and Argentina, combined with habanero chilies for steady heat.
Our featured pick
Spicy Honey (13.5OZ)
$19.00
Combining sweet honey with a spicy mix of chile peppers, this is great on anything from pizza to a warm buttered biscuit to a cold bowl of ice cream.

We launched the company in 30 days, starting in February 2014.
Why we carry them
We like a drizzle of Bees Knees on pizza, fried chicken, or a wedge of sharp cheddar. It is sweet first, with heat that builds.
