Their story
Boxed Water Is Better is a Michigan company based in Holland that set out to sell drinking water without plastic bottles. It was founded in 2009 with seed funding from Windquest Group.
The brand became an early voice for packaged water free of PET plastic. In 2025 it was sold to Nyrad, LLC, a group of private investors, with CEO Daryn Kuipers staying on to lead the next stage of growth.
How it's made
The water is packed in paper-based cartons, which are lighter to ship flat and easier to recycle than single-use plastic. The company bottles and distributes from its Michigan operations.
I am grateful for the original seed investment and the new investment team that will allow us to grow.
Why we carry them
We stock Boxed Water as a simple swap for anyone trying to cut back on plastic. It is clean, crisp water in a carton you can recycle.
