Their story
The Grifoll Declara family has grown grapes around El Molar, in Catalonia's Priorat, since 1736. They founded the winery in 1880, and the fifth generation runs it today.
They farm about 120 hectares of roughly 60-year-old vines, plus a few hectares of century-old vines, at both low and high elevations around the village.
How it's made
The vineyards are certified organic, farmed without fertilizers or pesticides and picked by hand. Red and white Garnacha and Cariñena lead, and the wines age only in French oak.
