Their story

Chocolaterie DuPLESSIS works out of Saint-Germain-Laprade, a town in the Haute-Loire in the center of France. Everything is produced in the company's own workshop there.

The chocolatier was founded in 1996 to make napolitains, the small, thin squares of chocolate often served with coffee in France. The idea of travel and escape led to its signature look: wrappers printed with famous landmarks.

Today it makes napolitains, bars, coins and medals, including boxed collections like The Parisianer, and it also creates custom designs for clients.

How it's made

All production happens in the DuPLESSIS workshop in central France. The dark chocolate in collections such as The Parisianer is at least 72% cocoa, and the small squares are individually wrapped in illustrated papers.

Why we carry them

We like these little squares for their charm as much as their chocolate. A box makes an easy host gift or a nice thing to set out with after-dinner coffee.
