Compass Box
A London whiskymaker that reshaped how people think about blended Scotch.

Their story
Compass Box was founded in 2000 by John Glaser, an American who had been a marketing director at Johnnie Walker. He set out to show that blended Scotch could be as interesting as single malt, and to push the industry toward more openness about what goes into each bottle.
Bacardi held a minority stake from 2015 to 2022, when London-based Caelum Capital bought a majority share. Former Bacardi executive Maurice Doyle became CEO that year, and Glaser announced in 2024 that he would step back from the company he started.
How it's made
Compass Box does not distill. It buys whisky from distilleries across Scotland and blends it, often finishing or marrying the components in carefully chosen casks. Well-known releases include Spaniard, Peat Monster, Asyla and Hedonism, a blended grain whisky.

Why we carry them
Compass Box is our go-to for anyone who thinks blends are boring. Try Peat Monster for smoke or Hedonism for something soft and unusual.
