Fabryka Wodek Wieslaw Wawrzyniak

Polish rye vodka distilled near the old grain-trading city of Kalisz.

Their story

Fabryka Wódek Wiesław Wawrzyniak is the Polish producer behind Wodka, a rye vodka distilled near Kalisz, one of the oldest cities in Poland. The area has a long history of growing and trading rye, going back to its days as a Roman trading post.

Wodka is imported to the U.S. by Edgewater Spirits, where it is proofed and bottled.

How it's made

The vodka is made from single-estate Dankowskie rye, a prized golden winter variety. The rye is milled, mashed and column distilled five times, then filtered twice through charcoal made from Polish birch.

Why we carry them

We think this is one of the best-value vodkas on our shelves. Rye gives it a little more character than most, so try it chilled on its own.
