Their story
Grey Goose was the idea of Sidney Frank, an American importer who set out in 1997 to create a vodka from France rather than Russia or Scandinavia. He brought in François Thibault, a cognac cellar master, to shape it.
The brand became one of the defining premium vodkas of its era. In 2004 Frank sold Grey Goose to Bacardi, which still owns it today.
How it's made
Grey Goose starts with soft winter wheat grown in Picardy, in northern France, which is distilled northeast of Paris. The spirit then travels to Cognac, where it is blended with water drawn from a limestone-filtered spring beneath the facility, filtered, and bottled.
