Their story

The Nolet family has been making spirits in Schiedam, the old distilling town just outside Rotterdam, since 1691. That year Joannes Nolet opened a jenever distillery there, and the family has owned and run it ever since, now in its eleventh generation.

Joannes was known for experimenting with herbs and spices, and the family says his notes still shape what they make today. In 1983 Carel Nolet Sr. brought the family's Ketel One Vodka to the United States, and in 2010 he and his sons, Carel Jr. and Bob, introduced Nolet's Gin.

The gin was the family's way of carrying centuries of botanical know-how into a contemporary bottle, made in the same town where it all began.

How it's made

Nolet's Gin is distilled at the family distillery in Schiedam, drawing on botanical techniques handed down since the 17th century. The family builds its spirits around carefully chosen herbs, spices and fruit, distilled in-house rather than sourced from outside producers.

Why we carry them

We like having a gin on the shelf with this much history behind it. It is a smooth, aromatic pour that works as well in a simple gin and tonic as it does in a stirred martini.
