Their story
Oakland United Beerworks brews in a converted warehouse on 2nd Street in Oakland's Jack London District, a short walk from the Amtrak station. The brewery traces back to 2009, when it opened as Linden Street Brewery, and it was billed as Oakland's first community production brewery since Golden West closed in the 1950s.
In 2017 it moved to the waterfront and took on the Oakland United Beerworks name. The taproom has room for about 70 inside, a kitchen, a view of the brewhouse and a covered patio out back.
How it's made
The beer is brewed on site in the Jack London District warehouse, and guests can see the brewhouse from the taproom.
Why we carry them
We like supporting a brewery that has been part of Oakland's beer scene for well over a decade. It is an easy East Bay pick for a backyard or ballgame.
