Their story

Pimm's began with James Pimm, a farmer's son from Kent who ran an oyster bar in the City of London, close to the Bank of England. Around 1823 he started serving a house gin cup to his customers, and the recipe outlasted the bar.

Pimm's No. 1 Cup went on to become a fixture of the English summer, poured by the pitcher at garden parties, regattas and tennis. The brand is now owned by Diageo, which has held it since the 1997 merger of Guinness and Grand Metropolitan.

How it's made

Pimm's No. 1 is a gin-based liqueur blended with herbal and fruit flavors and bottled at a gentle strength. It is built to be mixed, most often with sparkling lemonade or ginger ale over ice with cucumber, citrus, strawberries and mint.

Why we carry them

A Pimm's Cup is one of the easiest party drinks we know, and it looks great in a big pitcher. Pick up some cucumber and mint on the way out and you are set.
