Their story
Roots Divino comes from brothers Manos and Nikolas Smyrlakis, who moved back to their birthplace in Greece to make spirits. Their family ties run back to what they describe as the oldest distillery in Greece, founded in 1850.
The brothers launched the ROOTS line of craft liqueurs in 2013 and later created Roots Divino, a non-alcoholic take on vermouth. Their aim was to show that a drink without alcohol can still carry the story and character of Greek aperitif culture.
How it's made
Botanicals gathered from around Greece, including wormwood, bitter orange, gentian, thyme, oregano, and rhubarb, are steeped in sweetened wine. The blend is filtered and rested in barrels, then the alcohol is removed by reverse osmosis.
Why we carry them
We reach for Roots Divino when we want a real aperitif without the alcohol. Pour it over ice with soda and an orange slice.
