Senior & Co
The original Curaçao liqueur, made from the island's own bitter Laraha orange.

- Willemstad, Curaçao
Their story
Senior & Co makes its liqueur at Landhuis Chobolobo, a country house built in the early 1800s on about two and a half acres on the island of Curaçao. The family company bought the property in 1947, and it now serves as the home of what the company calls the genuine Curaçao liqueur.
The story starts with a failed crop. Spanish settlers planted Valencia oranges on the island, but in the dry climate the trees turned bitter and grew wild. Those fruit became the Laraha, and its sun-dried peel turned out to carry fragrant oils.
How it's made
The liqueur is built on the peels of the Laraha orange, which are dried in the sun to concentrate their aromatic oils. Those oils form the flavor base of the liqueur, which is produced on site at Landhuis Chobolobo.
Why we carry them
We stock Senior & Co for anyone who wants the real thing behind every blue cocktail. It is a bright orange liqueur that shines in a Mai Tai.
