Their story
Square One Organic Spirits was founded by Allison Evanow, who launched Square One Organic Vodka in April 2006 from Novato, in Marin County. At the time, organic spirits were a small niche, and the brand became one of the early names in the category.
Over the years the company expanded into organic cocktail mixers in 2019 and organic canned cocktails in 2020. In 2024 it was announced that Square One would be acquired by Uncle Nearest.
How it's made
Square One vodka is distilled from organically grown rye and made with water drawn from the Snake River, which runs beneath the distillery. The production facility offsets a portion of its electricity through wind energy credits.
