Their story
That Boutique-y Whisky Company is an independent bottler launched in 2012 by Atom Brands, a British drinks group. The idea was to bottle small batches from distilleries around the world and present them with a sense of humor.
Its comic-book labels are now its calling card, each packed with illustrated in-jokes about the distillery or the whisky trade. The success of the whisky range led to sister labels, That Boutique-y Gin Company and That Boutique-y Rum Company.
How it's made
The company does not distill. It selects casks and batches from other producers, from well-known Scotch distilleries to newer craft makers, and bottles them in small runs. Each label names the source distillery and the batch.
Why we carry them
Boutique-y bottlings are a fun way to taste a distillery you might not find on its own label. We also like the artwork, which makes these easy gifts.
