Their story
The Classic Cask is an independent bottling label, part of the importer Spirit Imports, Inc. Rather than running a distillery of its own, the team seeks out individual casks and small parcels of whisky that the original producers never released under their own names.
The label has been putting out bottlings since 1999. Its releases range across Scotland, with single malts from distilleries such as Glen Ord, Highland Park and Strathmill, and also reach into American whiskey with Kentucky straight rye and bourbon. Many carry long age statements, and each release is limited by the size of the cask or batch behind it.
How it's made
The Classic Cask buys mature whisky from established distilleries and bottles it under its own label. Releases are single casks or small batches, so each bottling is a one-off with a set number of bottles.
Why we carry them
Independent bottlings like these let us offer whisky you will not find in a distillery's core range. They are a good way to taste an older, single-cask take on a familiar name.
