Wild Roots
Oregon vodka infused with real Pacific Northwest fruit, not flavorings.

Their story
Wild Roots began in a home kitchen. Chris Joseph started infusing vodka with fruit for his girlfriend, who found that store-bought flavored vodkas left her feeling rough the next day. He noticed there were few flavored vodkas on the market made with natural ingredients, and set out to make one.
The first bottles reached shelves around 2013. The vodka is distilled in Sisters, Oregon, in a barn shared with Cascade Street Distillery, and the brand runs a tasting room on Portland's Distillery Row.
The lineup leans on Northwest fruit: marionberry, raspberry, dark sweet cherry, cranberry, pear, huckleberry and more, along with canned vodka sodas.
How it's made
The base is a grain vodka made with Central Oregon water filtered through lava rock from the Cascades. Berries and fruit come from farms in Oregon and Washington, such as organic cranberries from Bandon on the southern coast. The fruit is mashed and steeped in the vodka, with over a pound of fruit going into each bottle and no artificial flavors or colors.
Why we carry them
We like that the color and flavor here come from actual fruit. The marionberry and huckleberry are a taste of the Northwest that works neat over ice or with a splash of soda.
