Yiayia & Friends
Greek olive oil, poured the way a grandmother would.
Yiayia means grandmother in Greek, and this brand is built around one: a Cretan yiayia and her animal friends, who share family recipes and table wisdom through the stories on every label.

The story of Yiayia & Friends
Every family in Greece has a yiayia, and every yiayia has opinions about olive oil. Yiayia & Friends takes that idea and builds a whole pantry around it: oils, vinegars and infusions from Greece, each dressed in an illustrated bottle and paired with a story from Yiayia and her animal friends about cooking, sharing and sitting down together.
The base of it all is extra virgin olive oil from Koroneiki olives grown on Crete. Koroneiki is a small olive, prized across the island for oil that is green, fruity and gently peppery, and Yiayia & Friends keeps it as a single variety rather than blending it away.
From there the range grows the way a home kitchen does: garlic, lemon, basil, chilli and black truffle oils for finishing and dipping, plus an organic balsamic made from organically grown Greek grapes and aged for ten years in wooden barrels.
How it's made
The olives are grown on Crete and pressed into extra virgin olive oil from a single variety, Koroneiki. The flavored oils start from that same base. The organic balsamic is aged naturally for ten years in wooden barrels before it is bottled.
Our featured pick
Black Truffle Extra Virgin Olive Oil (200ML)
$30.00
Yiayia and friends’ extra virgin olive oil, with low acidity and high nutritional value, enriched with the rich and earthy flavour of truffle. Made of all natural ingredients with no unwanted.
Why we carry them
We stock Yiayia & Friends because it does two things at once. The oil is honest Cretan Koroneiki, good enough for everyday cooking and finishing, and the bottles are pretty enough to give as a gift without wrapping. It is the easiest host gift on our pantry shelf.
