Their story
Annie's began in 1989 in Hampton, Connecticut, where Annie Withey and Andrew Martin started selling a natural macaroni and cheese in New England supermarkets. Bernie, the rabbit on every box, became the brand's calling card.
As the line grew into crackers, snacks and other pantry staples, the company moved through Boston and Napa before settling in Berkeley in 2011. In 2014 Annie's was acquired by General Mills.
How it's made
Annie's built its range around simpler, natural ingredients, starting with boxed pasta and real cheese sauce. Many of its products today are made with organic ingredients.
Why we carry them
We keep Annie's on hand for easy weeknight dinners and lunchbox snacks. The classic shells and white cheddar is a crowd pleaser for all ages.
