Their story
Bored Cow comes from Tomorrow Farms, a food company led by CEO Ben Berman, which set out to remake familiar foods in a new way. The brand was built in partnership with Perfect Day, the Bay Area startup known for producing dairy protein through fermentation.
The milks launched in the U.S. in May 2022, first sold online and shipped across the continental U.S. The idea was simple: keep the taste and protein of milk while leaving the cow out of the picture.
How it's made
The base is whey protein made by Perfect Day through precision fermentation rather than from cow's milk. Plant-based ingredients are added to give it the body of dairy. Each cup carries about 8 grams of protein, and the milks are lactose-free, gluten-free and nut-free.
We started Tomorrow Farms with a belief that there's a better way to make our favorite foods.
