Their story
Antoine Sunier spent 13 years selling mobile phones in Burgundy before deciding to make wine. He worked at Château du Premeaux while studying in Beaune, then trained with Jean-Claude Lapalou in the Beaujolais hills.
In 2014 he settled in Régnié with a house and a small cellar. He farms about five hectares, mostly in Régnié plus some old Morgon vines, and shares an organic approach with his brother, Julien Sunier, who also makes wine in the region.
How it's made
The vines are farmed organically. Fermentations vary by vintage, using carbonic or semi-carbonic methods and a native yeast starter, and some cuvées are made with no added sulfur.
Why we carry them
We love Sunier's Régnié for its juicy, bright fruit and easy drinkability. Serve it slightly chilled with charcuterie.
