Their story
Baglio DiAr is the Di Girolamo family's winery in Marsala, on Sicily's southwest coast. The family has long made wine here, and a new generation launched Baglio DiAr in 2018.
Their 120 hectares of vineyards get plenty of sun, cooled by breezes off the sea.
How it's made
The winery is certified organic and vegan and works mainly with native Sicilian grapes such as Grillo, Zibibbo, Nero d'Avola and Perricone. Grapes are picked at night, pressed gently and fermented at controlled temperatures, mostly in stainless steel, with some wines spending a few months in small oak barrels.
Why we carry them
We like Baglio DiAr for bright, organic Sicilian wines made from local grapes. A chilled Grillo is a natural match for seafood.
